Privacy Policy
NRI Money Planner, from P. M. Sterling. Effective [date].
1. What this app is
NRI Money Planner is a budgeting tool that runs in your own browser. The figures you enter, such as accounts, balances, transactions and settings, are stored on your own device and are not sent to us.
2. What we do not do
We do not run a server that stores your financial data, we have no user accounts, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
3. Where your data is kept
Your data sits in your browser's local storage on your device. It is not encrypted there, and the optional PIN is an app-level screen lock, not device encryption, so keep your phone's own lock on. If you choose the encrypted backup, the file you download is encrypted with the password you set. We cannot recover that password.
4. The only things the app sends over the internet
- Exchange rates. When you tap Update rates, the app asks a public exchange-rate service (open.er-api.com, with api.frankfurter.dev as a back-up) for current rates. That request includes the currency codes and, as with any web request, your IP address. It does not include your financial data.
- Licence check. If your copy needs a licence key, the app sends the key to Lemon Squeezy once to activate it. Lemon Squeezy handles that under its own privacy policy.
Our web host may also keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, when you load the app or this website.
5. Payments
Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record and processes your payment and your receipt. We do not see your card or bank details. We receive only what Lemon Squeezy provides, such as your email address and order details, so we can support you.
6. Your control
You can erase everything the app has stored by tapping Erase all data in the Data tab, or by clearing the site's data in your browser. Backups you download are yours to keep safe or delete.
